Thamesmead Health Centre is now a Training Practice, joining a growing portfolio of AT Medics postgraduate training sites and the largest network of GP training practices in London.

GP Director and Founder Dr Usman Quraishi commented “It is with great pleasure that I announce Thamesmead Health Centre has been approved today (Thursday 23rd July 2015) as a training practice by the School of General Practice. I am delighted that Dr Ariyike Oke has been approved as a GP ST Trainer for the first time, and I would like to pass my warmest congratulations to Dr Oke and the whole team at THC.

“Our first GP trainee will be joining Thamesmead Health Centre in August 2015, and patients will be advised to ensure that they have the opportunity to decide whether or not to see a GP trainee during their consultations as with all of our training practices.”

Thamesmead Health Centre joins a growing portfolio of AT Medics postgraduate medical training sites, now 11 in total, delivering bespoke training and education programmes, with 11 ST3 trainers and nine F2 trainers. AT Medics delivers several successful training and education programmes for all grades of primary care staff across its portfolio of London practices.

Thamesmead Health Centre came under management by AT Medics in April 2015; Training Practice status is one of a number of key and significant improvements that have been achieved under the new management, focussed on delivering high quality accessible healthcare services in a professional, well-managed learning environment.
