Bank House Surgery has been certified as the top Bromley based practice for Chlamydia screening over the past 12 months. In 2014, there were approximately 440,000 diagnoses of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) made in England. The impact of STIs remains greatest in young heterosexuals under the age of 25 years and in men who have sex with men (MSM). The most commonly diagnosed STI was chlamydia, with 206,774 diagnoses made in 2014. (Public Health England, Health Protection Report Vol 9 Num 22, 23 June 2015)
According to Youth Chances, a third of young people find the information they receive on sex and relationships unhelpful, or receive no such information at all.
Stephanie Sawyer, Bromley Sexual Health Programme Lead stated “This certificate of achievement is awarded in recognition of the surgery’s continuous hard work and support in providing the National Chlamydia Screening Programme within Bromley Integrated Sexual Health Services”.
